Uhuru Women’s Club is a lifestyle club for women in Tanzania, founded and incorporated in February 2017. The club is dedicated to women’s empowerment and prosperity, aiming to harness women’s potential to achieve collective goals through shared ideas and resources. Uhuru Women’s Club is a membership-based organization with a management committee and a general assembly. Membership is by nomination; after a vetting process by the management and the payment of club fees, an individual becomes a member.

The club’s initiatives to empower and support women include various activities such as financial projects and businesses, training, health programs, environmental protection, exercise and sports (including a gymnasium), mentorship programs, recreational and entertainment activities, and educational projects.

As the first club of its kind in Tanzania, Uhuru Women’s Club promotes inclusion through membership, ensuring continuity and recognition of contributions made towards women’s empowerment and prosperity in society for generations to come. The club serves as a space for work, learning, networking, exercising, playing various sports, and enjoying time with family, friends, and colleagues. Motto: “Celebrate Womanhood”
